VACATION’S OVER: WELCOME BACK TO WORK

We are leaving behind us mountain landscapes and sunsets on the sea; a humid August and the catchy songs of summer that continue to play inside our heads. But now, it’s time to get back in the groove and get back to work.

What I wish – for you and for me –  is to use our heads more and to think and talk less with other peoples’ phrases and images. Now that we’ve rested we have the opportunity to start fresh; to start off on the right foot. It’s good to share things that we like through social media but we must also learn to search for content inside our own craniums. If we learn to use it – our head – you’ll find it is full of original content. Even in work, try to be unique. Especially we Italians/Europeans who have an incomparable cultural tradition.

As for the difficulty of returning to work, it is indisputable. I, too, am experiencing it more and more with each passing summer! But we have no alternative. It’s time to put your nose to the grindstone or, as someone once said here in Italy: keep your head down and pedal.

Welcome back!
